STEP 1: Leak Detection
Our Leak Detection process starts with a thorough inspection of your home, checking for possible water entry points, examining any visible damage, and, if necessary, using thermal imaging technology to inspect hidden areas. We then replicate the leak, allowing us to generate a list of repair options. Typically, the most efficient and reliable way to see the water intrusion is by cutting a small opening in an interior wall or ceiling, so this is frequently part of the water testing process. After our detection, we provide you with a comprehensive Leak Report, documenting the specific causes and effects of your leak and providing an estimate for repairs.
What to Expect
- This typically takes between 2-4 hours, and requires your presence for complete transparency during the process.
- Our team combines FLIR thermal imaging with hands-on expertise to inspect hidden areas and ensure thorough, accurate leak detection.
- The team will attempt to replicate the leak, which may include cutting an opening to an interior wall (but don’t worry, we will get your wall good as new once we repair your leak!)
- Afterwards, we create a full Leak Report within 14 business days to document our findings, recommended repairs, and provide an estimate.
- All Leak Detections come with a FREE mold test to protect your home and health, with optional lab analysis available on request (fees apply)
STEP 2: Leak Repairs
Before we get started on repairing your leak, we’ll walk you through the Leak Report so you understand your options and can make an informed decision. Once you’re ready to move forward, our leak repair experts will acquire the needed materials and begin the Leak Repair. Our team is capable of handling the majority of your leak repairs, including roof leak repairs, plumbing leak repairs, window leak repairs, chimney leak repairs, and many more.
What to Expect
- Before we begin, we’ll review your Leak Report and repair plan together so you’re fully informed and confident in the next steps.
- We arrive at 8am on the scheduled day unless otherwise specified.
- After we finish the Leak Repair, we clear any leftover debris or mess to make sure you have a clean, repaired, and leak-free home!
Bonus: Testing The Leak Repair
To confirm the leak is truly gone, and spare you unnecessary costs, we let Mother Nature run the final test. Over the next few weeks, we monitor the repair through three to four rainstorms similar to the ones that caused leaking before. If no water shows up, the leak is officially resolved.
If the original leak is not completely gone within this period, we return to your home for a free follow up Leak Detection. If there is any issue with our repair workmanship, we will repair it at no cost to you. If a previously hidden source of intrusion is discovered, we will present you with a clear path to resolving it.
STEP 3: Cosmetic Repairs
While fixing your leak is our first priority, our process doesn’t end there. The final step to complete our work is to restore your home. Once your Leak Repair is finalized, we offer interior cosmetic restoration to make it look like we were never even there.
