Very responsive in the beginning. Great customer service. However after spending 18k, same issues occurred 1-2 months later and company became unresponsive. Still haven’t heard back til this day and forced to pay more out of pocket to fix the problem.

Dr. Leaks performed a leak detection that idntified our leak issue and, though the front office missed some details in providing to the actual workers what needed to be done and also missed details in providing to me all the potential work, it ultimately came together and our roof leak issue was fully resolved! Definitely an expensive fix but I believe worth it to go through Dr. Leaks.

After living with a recurring winter leak in our bathroom for five years (and learning it had been happening for years before we bought the place), we finally decided to bring in Dr. Leaks — and I only wish we had done it sooner.
Every winter the leak would return. We assumed it was a building issue, but the building manager would send contractors who focused on quick fixes within their own specialty (we saw plenty of masons doing lots of caulking). Nothing ever truly solved the problem.
At the recommendation of a friend, we hired Dr. Leaks to get to the root cause. From the first call, their communication was excellent. Greg clearly explained the diagnostic process and what to expect, and we were scheduled about three weeks out.
The investigation itself was incredibly thorough. The team accessed units above us, took detailed measurements and photographs, and ultimately opened our drywall ceiling. They discovered a three-inch cast iron pipe that had separated from its coupling — the real source of the leak. While they couldn’t determine exactly where the pipe terminated, they provided a detailed, professional report clearly documenting the issue and confirming it was not our responsibility.
We brought the report to our building association, and they arranged for the repair by another contractor and covered the full cost — including the investigation.
What stood out most was the professionalism and respect. Greg was always available to hop on a call and walk me through questions or concerns. The investigators were smart, thorough, and respectful. As someone who understands building systems, I deeply appreciated that they treated me as a knowledgeable partner in the process — unlike many contractors we’d dealt with previously.
In a matter of weeks, Dr. Leaks accomplished what nearly a decade of piecemeal efforts had failed to resolve. Yes, this type of investigation is an investment — but it was absolutely worth it to have someone truly listen, do the real diagnostic work, and finally bring the issue to resolution.

Dr. L. assessed quickly and provided a work plan. They are clear - they might find other issues when they open walls and follow the water. Our leak was stubborn and they found the source. Their repairs were completed in time and by very professional technicians. They always suggest not to make cosmetic repairs until there is certainty that the source has been fully addressed. In this regard, be patient because your instinct will be to get the cosmetics e.g., drywall patches done. Sometimes you have to go slow to go fast. Worth the investment.

We have had a good experience with Dr. Leaks this last year. We live in an old building in Philly and have had several leaks. The team was able to solve them and their process works well. It’s not the fastest process in the world but the quality is certainly good. They do a good job communicating and they are conscientious about the fact that people live in the spaces they work and they do a good job cleaning up. Overall I would recommend them, particularly for jobs where the leak is a bit non-obvious in its source.

Dr Leaks is great!
This is our second time using them and we had another good experience.
We had a second floor toilet leak, and they were able to get out quickly and fix it. While they were here they did some other leak detection that I had been contemplating for a while. We got a detailed dx and they were able to efficiently fix it for us.
Highly recommend Dr Leak! Easy to communicate with and they do good work.

We had a small leak that had been presenting itself intermittently (1-4 times per year) for several years. We had water dripping into our kid's bedroom, and it had gotten progressively worse each year. We had several different handymen, roof companies, and window companies take their shot at addressing the issue. They would eyeball the problem, apply the fix that was in their wheelhouse, and we would cross our fingers hoping that our issue would finally be resolved. But each time, the leak just returned, and continued to get worse. We were at the point where it seemed like a new roof was going to be the only way we were going to finally solve this issue, despite every single vendor that looked at the roof stating that our roof was in generally very good shape.
Before we finally gave in and moved forward with the most expensive, nuclear solution, a new roof, a google search for our area turned up Dr. Leaks. The website described the services as exactly what we needed. Targeted, problem based assessment and treatment. They're not a roof company, they're not a window company, they're not a general handyman. They specifically addressed our exact issue, something that may have been an interaction of all of the above.
After an initial test and assessment, they identified the problem area with real water testing, reproduced the leak, and came up with options for remediation.
The first repair attempt improved the situation where the leaking was significantly reduced, but after the first rain, the issue was not completely resolved as there was still a smaller amount of water intruding. The testing team came back out, and did another test. They identified another spot where water was intruding, and again the repair team came out and addressed it. So after a handful of rain events, a couple of which were very hard rains, our leak issue is finally resolved.
Each step of the way was a pleasure working with Dr. Leaks. Their administrative team, the leak assessment team, the repair team, all were professional, communicative and invested in fixing our issue. In the big scheme of things, to a company like this, our job was a small job, but they demonstrated that they cared about our issue and we felt like we were treated with the same professionalism a big job would receive. This was not the cheapest option around...but, it was significantly less expensive than a whole new roof, and I can honestly say that I wish I had found these guys sooner as we had spent plenty of time, money and frustration on previous failed attempts at finding and fixing this leak. If what you need is targeted, problem based leak remediation, I cannot more highly recommend Dr. Leaks. I hope to never have to call them again because of a leak, but if another leak does present itself, I know who I'm calling first.

Dr. Leaks has assessed two separate leaks for us and we found their leak detection, documentation and reporting thorough and decisive enough to make the necessary repairs on our home. We are happy with both their detection and repair work. I hope we do not have more leaks, but if we do, we will not hesitate to call them again.

Dr. Leaks helped us locate and remedy the source of several leaks thorugh out our home that other contractors had been unable to address.
We appreciated how Dr. Leaks created a leak report before they started work on our home so that we knew exactly what issues they were seeking to address. It was very easy to work with the company on scheduling and other matters.
Now nearly a year after they completed work, we are still water free. I would recommend this business to anyone.

Worked with the Dr Leaks team who did a full back siding replacement for me. I have an older house and they were able to uncover the area of the leak after other basic roofers/siding folks could not. We've used Dr. Leaks over the past year or so to address a longstanding leak in our roof. Our experience has been overwhelmingly positive.
I appreciate their approach to detecting leaks, which is to say: they actually have one. I have yet to meet a roofer that will spend time trying to figure out where a leak is coming from. The usual approach is either to guess, or redo the entire roof. Dr. Leaks will do water tests to understand what's going on.
Dr. Leaks were always clear about what they were doing, and why. Pictures of the work are available via their website. They provided multiple options at varying price points, and they also performed repairs that another roofer would not even consider.
Also, it should be noted that the quality of roofing in Philadelphia is notoriously terrible, with one bad roof layer piled upon another. Figuring out where a leak is coming from is not an easy task.
So, take these one star reviews here with a grain of salt.

Josh and his team were responsive and were easy to work with. I had a leak in my ceiling stemming from an HVAC duct condensing through the insulation. It was diagnosed and taken care of within my schedule. They offer financing through a third party bank and their team of leak detection professionals are thorough and competent. Daniel, their repair team member, came on time everyday and finished the job within schedule. Everyone was very professional and reliable. Look to these guys if you want the job done right and not just on the cheap. You’ll save money in the long run.

Dr leaks was extremely thorough and meticulous in identifying and remediating a rooftop leak in my home. They are certainly expensive but worth it to prevent more significant damage that happened to a neighbor on my block. The staff is very accommodative and they highlight all the costs that will be incurred very clearly and do a great job of customer service. Highly recommend

I highly recommend Dr. Leaks if you're dealing with water issues in your home. I had a persistent leak caused by the improper installation of a roof deck, and it was causing damage inside the house. An earlier contractor failed to properly repair it. Dr. Leaks quickly identified the source of the problem, explained everything clearly, and got right to work. Not only did they fix the leak, but they also took care of the cosmetic damage inside. Everything looks great now. Very professional, responsive, and reliable from start to finish. A top-notch service for anyone in Philadelphia needing leak detection and repair.

So far I am very pleased with the service Dr. Leaks has provided. We have had several roofers over the years and they never looked beyond the surface to figure out what the problem was. My brothers coworker reccomended Dr leaks. We reached out to them via their website and they responded promptly. They clearly explained their services, cost and the detection and repair process. I scheduled and appointment and they were very professional. Communication was clear and consistent and they arrived exactly when they said they would. They asked me thorugh questions about the history and current issues in regard to the leak and they got to work. They were very friendly and explained eveything they did and anything the found. They showed me photos and video and even had another person come in to test for mold. When they realized the leak was in the only bathroom they made sure keep the hole they made to detect the leak small. They also cleaned up after they were finished. I'm please with their initial detection services and I'm waiting on the findings and reccomendations.

I can't say enough good things about this company. My husband and I own a rental property that had a leaky ceiling in one unit that went on for 5+ years. We had contracted 3 masons, 3 roofers, 4 general contractors, a building inspector and a "window guy" over the course of time to attempt to locate and solve the problem. It cost us almost $80k in repairs and renovations...and it still leaked. We found Dr. Leaks on a online search because we were out of ideas and felt like we had exhausted options with local contractors. Every person on the team, from start to finish, was a pleasure to work with - very informative and friendly. They were able to come out quickly to water test, and immediately found numerous problems that had been missed by other contractors. We decided to proceed with their recommended repairs and after a long winter of a lot of freezing rain and ice melting, and then numerous spring storms with heavy rain and wind, we are still leak free after 6 months. We were finally able to complete the restoration of the unit and get it rented out. Many thanks to everyone at Dr. Leaks for solving what felt like a never-ending problem. Would recommend these folks to anyone with a "unsolvable" leak!

Dr Leaks was a pleasure to work with and finally solved our leak issue! We had a spot in the back corner of our house that had leaked at least twice before and after having multiple roofers and masons come out, it continued to be an issue. None of the previous people I asked to look at it did a leak test, so it was just their best guesses.
Luis came out and was here for a couple of hours, really trying to find the source of the issue. He actually found three spots in the area where water was coming in! The leak report was very detailed and included pictures, so I understood everything they found and where. The estimates for completing the work were clear. While a bit on the pricey side, the peace of mind that came with everything was worth it imo, and they were able to take care of each issue without me having to spend time finding different professionals, getting multiple quotes, and be available at different times. They did offer a discount off their hourly rate if we had them also repair the damaged interior areas, and they credited back the money spent on the leak test. The interior ceiling and wall look good as new.
It has been 3 months since the repair and the area is still dry - and we have had many downpours since then, so it has been throughly tested! Josh has also texted me to check in every few weeks to make sure everything was still good.
I recommended Dr Leaks to a coworker of mine and so far she has been thrilled with the detailed service as well. I highly recommend Dr Leaks if you want your leak to be dealt with for (hopefully) the final time!

Excellent company with a very impressive team of knowledgeable professionals. From my initial contact with Dr Leaks I have received exceptional support and service. The leak detection process was well communicated, executed and documented. The team took great care to make certain I understood the process and findings, they were polite, professional and respectful of my home. Repairs were done by Steve who went above and beyond!! I can’t believe that we’ve had 2 heavy rains since my repair and I didn’t have a single drop of water especially since I’ve been dumping buckets for years.
Don’t waste your precious time or hard earned money anywhere else. If you have any signs of water, immediately call Dr. Leaks!!

DR. LEAKS! If you are on the fence, believe me, it is worth EVERY DIME!!! We've had a front porch leak "repaired" 2x from other businesses! Yet the same result after heavy or a windy rain! After days of researching, I gave Dr Leaks a call. The absolute professional handling we were offered from the initial call to follow-up contact and throughout the phases. Just wish that some time ago I let a professional diagnosis occur rather than me just tell a money grabbing company what i want! I've already typed a lot, BUT there process is one of a kind from what I've experienced.
